San Diego Show Dedicated to L'il Jackass

We're sad, yet extremely honored to announce that our recent show in San Diego was dedicated to the memory of L'il Jackass. Our good friend Ben lost his partner in crime. You will be missed L'il J.

Guy Whacks Off At Spa

Chow Nasty visited a spa in Monterey, located in an outrageously beautiful hotel overlooking the bay. Having never been to a spa, they spent the early evening hot tubbing and lounging near the outdoor fire. Everything was great, and they were relaxed. Let's not dwell on whether or not a bunch of a-holes like them deserve such luxuries.
Oh yes, to make one of the most memorable evenings of the tour even more ridiculous, some guy was slapping the salami in one of the showers in the men's room! Who does that!?!?!

Ida's House

This is Ida. She is a very nice person, and she made our stay in Santa Cruz a most excellent time. To repay her for her kindness, we accidentally tried to break into her neighbors apartment in the middle of the night, thinking it was her's. This of course led to a visit by the police and a very angry, albeit sleepy, landlord. It was all a big misunderstanding.
Once the dust settled on the situation, Joey made time to catch up on some work.
And make a snack.
This is our captain...and future mayor of Moss Landing. Ahoy,

Zac

The Van Keys Are At The Federal Building?

The van keys went missing for 27 hours...along with the digital camera and a box of CD's. This was the first occurance of missing key syndrome so far on the tour.
The lucky winner this time... Damon! I found the keys in his backpack! We also located the CD's, and the camera was with us the whole time...weird.And so concludes a visit to the federal building. A triumphant Judah will return with passport in hand. Watch out Canada, here we come.

Zac And Damon Go Back To School

On our way back from Tucson, we stopped by our beloved Johnston College, at the University of Redlands. This is where it all started, about 10 years ago, in the storage closet of Bekins Hall basement. Back then, we were called The Longshots, and I thank everyone who lived in that building and didn't tell us to shut the fuck up...because they could have. Special thanks to our new friend Courtney (sorry if I spelled that wrong) for being nice and letting us in the building. And to everyone else at Johnston, well, keep the party going. Until next time,

Zac

Cast And Crew Of Spring '08 Tour

This is where you eat when in Southern California...a place rumored to be owned by Ice Cube and other savvy entrepreneurs...Damon plays guitar and is leader of the crusade for the ultimate nachos...
Joey plays bass guitar and will rock you silly. Be nice to him and buy him drinks at the show, but don't tell him I told you to...Scott is our good friend. He plays trombone and cowbell. He is way taller than all of us and always has a place to stay after the show...I'm not sure why that is...
DJ Gris Gris. Although he looks like our friend Jeff in this photo, I assure you he is one-of-a-kind. He will help us ignite dance floors from New Orleans to Missoula Montana and back again...
This is me. I play harmonica and keyboards. Thanks for reading our blog...
See you soon,

Zac

What's Life Without Chili And Cheese?

Our first brush with the essence of nacho. The lovely Casa De Fruta, just outside the garlic capital of the world, Gilroy California, presented us with an important life lesson in the form of a question. Alas, no nachos tasted yet. More details TBD. Stay tuned. Besos y quesos,

Damon

Chow Nasty Spring Mixtape '08

Everyone remembers the first time they heard a song or saw a record cover that opened up another world that they never knew existed. Music has a distinct power to inspire and rescue people from the realities of everyday life. Every major event in my life has a soundtrack that I have attached to it. I remember the first time I heard music that my parents didn't like, I remember how a dusty record cover spoke to me, and I also remember how sacred that bond was between me and music. I am a bit older and not much has changed. I will hear a special kind of song that will make me see beauty in everything. Inspiration comes from these moments.

On our Myspace page (www.myspace.com/chownasty), down in the “Influences” section, we have been posting influential songs every Monday. We started posting songs that inspire us, songs that we learn from, and songs that do that something special that makes us want to make music ourselves. When we embark on our spring tour this February, we are posting an amazing group of songs I want people to listen to and enjoy. Good music should be shared. Some are obscure gems, some are classics, and some we post just because it makes us feel good. CD copies of this mixtape will be available for FREE at all of our tour stops. So pick one up at a show, or enjoy each track from the comfort of your living room. Either way …

Please and Enjoy!!
